The traditional cuisine at Sternen is very popular with our guests. Our chefs take the little secrets from traditional recipes and create magical dishes using regional and seasonal produce fresh from the fields, woods and lake.
In season we offer various "Höri-Bülle" specialities, such as Bülle-Dünne, Zwiebelrostbraten or Backsteinchäs with Büllesalat. As a member of the Höri-Bülle e.V. association, we support the preservation of the historic cultivar "Höri-Bülle", a typical red onion native to the Höri.
In our natural gourmet cuisine, we mainly use vegetables grown in the region, from Biohof Neidhardt in Öhningen and Gemüsebau Glaser in Iznang. Local fishermen such as Fischerei Albin Lang from Iznang and Fischerei Riebel from Reichenau supply fresh fish from Lake Constance. Muffler butchery supplies us with regional and high-quality meat as well as delicate sausage specialities. Our game comes from the forests of the Schienerberge. We cook out of love for the countryside with products from the region and according to the season.
We are a convinced member of Slow Food Deutschland e.V., which has set itself the goal of maintaining traditional food craftsmanship and preserving the diversity of regional flavours. In addition, responsible agriculture and fishing as well as species-appropriate livestock breeding are promoted.
In the drinks menu you will find excellent wines from Baden and Spanish organic wines. We source juices from the region, beer from the Hirsch brewery as well as fruit schnapps and schnapps, which perfectly round off the offer.
The rustic parlour and the chestnut-framed beer garden offer space for socialising or simply to switch off and unwind. For large and small parties, we will be happy to provide you with individually tailored menu suggestions.
